What is new in which version, newest first. Every version is numbered by semantic versioning; the states of the build-up phase before are labelled a to m, as on a drawing. CadPilot is developed agentically, hence the dense sequence; every version passes the same local check – tests, type checking and vulnerability scan – before it is merged. Open questions on the first test job are listed separately.
Versions
0.32.3
Version 0.32.3 – logo with the current tagline
ImprovedLogo and preview images for shared links now carry the tagline “AI automation for CATIA V5”.
Details
The tagline is set from the central brand data, the supplied artwork stays unchanged.
Pull-Request #120

Pull-Request #118
0.32.1
Version 0.32.1 – better readability, faster delivery, consistent handbook
ImprovedAfter a Lighthouse run: stronger contrast for secondary text, compressed delivery, right-sized images – and the handbook in the website's look.
Details
Contrast meeting WCAG AA in both themes, compression for stylesheets and scripts, smaller picture variant for the case study.
Handbook with the website's colours and fonts, still readable offline.
Pull-Request #116
0.32.0
Version 0.32.0 – checking release data, corrosion protection and bonded joints
AddedKnowledgeA new checking tool without CATIA applies the new engineering knowledge: do material and coating designations match their standard, are tolerance and datum entries complete, does the coating suit the installed location and are bonded joints loaded the right way?
Details
New tool for release data (material, coating, thickness standard, general tolerance, tolerancing principle, datum system, weld symbols), coating by installed location and bonded joints – every check with its rule and evidence level.
The car body sheet metal assistant uses it for the release data; the local model check has an eighth task.
Pull-Request #114
0.31.1
Version 0.31.1 – advisor with industry experience
ImprovedThe company page describes the advisor's experience at manufacturers – in general terms, without company names.
Details
Experience at several European manufacturers of premium cars and commercial vehicles and with engineering service providers.
Pull-Request #112
0.31.0
Version 0.31.0 – website reviewed from eight roles
ImprovedFixedDocsCompletion of the relaunch: the live site was reviewed from the view of CTO, engineering, IT security, procurement and other roles; every finding is addressed – above all more precise statements on maturity, data and roles.
Details
Maturity levels say exactly what the handbook says; the case study separates what the AI assistant did from what CadPilot did; the security page lists everything that can reach the AI service.
Release notes without pull-request numbers in the text, clearer title block, provider line, pilot terms, English legal texts linked.
Pull-Request #110
0.30.0
Version 0.30.0 – the new product website
AddedImprovedDocsThe website presents CadPilot as a product: problem, solution and benefits first, then capabilities, security, the pilot program, licensing and the people behind it – the technical depth stays one level below.
Details
New pages: how it works, capabilities by benefit, solutions, rule packs, case study sheet metal bracket, security, pilot program, licensing, company, roadmap, documentation, release notes.
One menu for every page, consistent calls to action, structured data without prices or ratings, handbook with skip link and focus ring.
Pull-Request #108
0.29.0
Version 0.29.0 – one source for every figure, CadPilot as a product
First stage of the website relaunch: every figure on the website and in the handbook comes from one generated source, contradictions are fixed, and CadPilot appears as a product.
Details
Tool, test, Python and rule figures from one generated file; tests prevent typed or contradicting figures.
Fixed: 86 instead of 117 tools and “25 own” in the handbook, the Python range, and the code reviews are described as reviews by a second AI model.
Pull-Request #106
0.28.1
Version 0.28.1 – bonding, corrosion protection by location, release data
The knowledge base gains three groups with 26 rules – from weld bonding via the zinc coating per installed location to the data a sheet metal drawing needs for release.
Details
Bonding S1–S8, corrosion protection U1–U9 and release data Z1–Z9, every number checked at its source; the knowledge base has 109 rules.
The car body sheet metal assistant also proposes the coating by installed location and the release data.
Pull-Request #102
0.28.0
Version 0.28.0 – fewer CATIA dialogs, checked files, bill of materials for Excel
Impossible geometry never reaches CATIA, written files are checked for their format, and the bill of materials can be saved as CSV for Excel.
Details
Identical points, points on one line or a zero direction are refused before CATIA – no blocking dialog.
Export and screenshot warn when the file content does not match the extension; new tool for the bill of materials as CSV.
Pull-Request #100
0.27.0
Version 0.27.0 – tolerance chains without CATIA
CadPilot calculates tolerance chains worst case and statistically and says whether the closing dimension holds its limits – or only statistically.
Details
New planner for tolerance chains: closing dimension, worst case, statistical, largest contributor and assessment against limits.
Pull-Request #96
0.26.0
Version 0.26.0 – locating scheme: rules and planner
How a sheet metal part sits in fixture and gauge is now part of the design knowledge – with a planner that proposes and checks supports, round hole and slot.
Details
Nine rules on the locating and reference system (3-2-1, N-2-1, hole and slot, tolerance chain), each with a source; the knowledge base has 83 rules.
New planner without CATIA for the locating scheme; it found a misaligned slot in the first practice case.
Pull-Request #93
0.25.0
Version 0.25.0 – documents for the IT review with every release
Every release now comes with a threat model, a software bill of materials and checksums – as one PDF for the IT department.
Details
Threat model with twelve threats and the countermeasure in the code for each.
Software bill of materials (CycloneDX), SHA256 checksums and an IT package PDF with every release.
Pull-Request #91
0.24.0
Version 0.24.0 – design quality report for a whole folder
CadPilot checks a folder of released parts against a quality profile, measures its own run time and files a report – without changing a single file.
Details
Quality report: required properties, part number pattern, unnamed features, up-to-date status and empty bodies per file, with measured run time.
Pull-Request #89
0.23.0
Version 0.23.0 – live test prepared: capabilities and four new test steps
The first session with CATIA should answer as much as possible: CadPilot now detects release and licences, and the acceptance test checks checkpoints, workflows and exploring faces.
Details
New tool for release, service pack and reachable CATIA entry points.
Acceptance test extended by four steps; compatibility table generated from recordings; design for choosing edges and faces.
Pull-Request #87
0.22.0
Version 0.22.0 – checkpoints and workflows with rollback
Set a checkpoint before a series of changes and return to it with a check; on request several steps run in the server and stop at the first deviation.
Details
Checkpoints: undo back to a named state, then compare feature tree, volume and centre of gravity.
The effect check names new features and the shift of the centre of gravity.
Workflows in the server with an expectation per step and automatic rollback – experimental until the live test confirms them.
Pull-Request #85
0.21.0
Version 0.21.0 – company rule packs: own rules without a software update
A plant stores its limits and own rules in one file; CadPilot checks with them, names the source of every finding and stays unchanged.
Details
Company rule packs for the sheet metal check: limits, switched-off or stricter rules and own rules with source and evidence.
New tools to list the packs and to explain a rule; safe mode now also checks the rule files.
Pull-Request #83
0.20.0
Version 0.20.0 – diagnostics without CATIA and a configuration file for IT
When something fails, CadPilot now checks its own set-up and creates a support bundle without model data; IT can roll out all settings in one file.
Details
Three new tools: check the set-up, session state, support bundle – all without CATIA and even while a CATIA call hangs.
Configuration file (CATIA_MCP_CONFIG) for all switches and a JSON log for log collectors.
Pull-Request #81
0.19.0
Version 0.19.0 – rule check knows slots
The sheet metal rule check now also checks slots – found while checking the bracket of the first practice case.
Details
Slots with length, width and angle: distances to other features, the outline and the bend runout.
Pull-Request #78
0.18.0
Version 0.18.0 – rules from practice: bend runout, bead stretch, e-coat drains
A car body designer has reviewed the start values. His notes are now rules of the level “confirmed in practice” in the knowledge base and the rule check.
Details
Features at least 3 mm from where a bend radius runs out; beads and cups stretched at most 25 % instead of a plain depth limit, also for tilted seat faces.
E-coat drain holes only where the part touches other parts or traps liquid, at least 3 mm; flank angles as information only.
The bracket of the first practice case now passes every check; the knowledge base has 74 rules.
Pull-Request #76
0.17.0
Version 0.17.0 – CadPilot explains itself to every AI client
Every AI client now receives the working rules, knows for every tool whether it reads or changes and how reliable it is, and with tool groups a sheet metal job needs only a third of the context.
Details
Working rules (units, working copy, measuring, unreliable tools) go to every MCP client, no longer only to Copilot.
Every result names the tool's maturity, a hint for the next step and the duration; tools are marked as reading or changing.
Tool groups and profiles: the profile “blech” costs ≈ 6,700 instead of ≈ 20,600 tokens – important for local models.
Pull-Request #74
0.16.0
Version 0.16.0 – CATIA is never started unasked, retry when CATIA is busy
CadPilot now only attaches to a running CATIA and never takes a licence unasked. When CATIA is busy, CadPilot repeats the rejected step instead of giving up.
Details
CATIA is only started on explicit request (catia_connect with launch or the CATIA_MCP_LAUNCH switch).
When CATIA rejects a call because a dialog is open or an update is running, exactly that call is repeated for up to 30 s; then CadPilot reports COM_BUSY and the session stays usable.
New error classes COM_BUSY and SESSION_LOST with the COM error code, without CATIA text; after a lost session the journal of the old session is locked.
Pull-Request #72
0.15.0
Version 0.15.0 – rule check covers sealing
The sheet metal rule check now also checks whether seams and hems are sealed, whether the nozzle reaches the seam sealer and how every process hole is closed later.
Details
Seam in a wet area without sealing: violated; hem without seam sealer: risk; seam sealer without nozzle access: violated.
E-coat, vent and cavity wax holes need a closure (plug, pad or open on purpose); the number of hole sizes with plugs is reported.
Pull-Request #69
0.14.1
Version 0.14.1 – design knowledge: sealing and seam sealing
The knowledge base gains eight rules on sealing – from body-shop adhesives via seam sealing after the e-coat to cavity wax and closing the openings.
Details
Sealing D1–D8 with numbers checked at their source, mainly from a Fraunhofer paper on hem bonding in the body shop.
The car body sheet metal assistant now plans the sealing of every overlap and how holes are closed later.
Pull-Request #67
0.14.0
Version 0.14.0 – rule check knows high-strength steel and aluminium
The rule check for sheet metal parts now knows what the part is made of: for high-strength steel and aluminium it checks bend radii against the data sheet instead of steel rules and reports material-specific risks.
Details
Bend radius against the data sheet r/t; without it “undetermined” instead of a wrong “ok” from steel rules.
Flanged holes in high-strength steel and aluminium–steel joints reported as a risk with concrete hints.
Pull-Request #65
0.13.1
Version 0.13.1 – design knowledge: high-strength steels and aluminium sheet
The knowledge base gains 13 rules on lightweight materials – springback, bending, welding and joining, thermal expansion in the e-coat oven –, each with a number checked at its source and its evidence level.
Details
High-strength steels H1–H6: bending, springback, sheared edges, liquid metal embrittlement in spot welding, press-hardened steel, strength is not stiffness.
Aluminium sheet A1–A7: alloys and paint-bake hardening, three times the springback, twice the thermal expansion, joining, contact corrosion, pretreatment for the e-coat.
Pull-Request #63
0.13.0
Version 0.13.0 – rule check for press nuts
The rule check for sheet metal parts now also checks press nuts: minimum sheet thickness per thread, distance to the edge and sheet hardness – and says “undetermined” where a data sheet value is missing.
Details
New checks BL-EINPRESS-DICKE, BL-EINPRESS-RAND and BL-EINPRESS-HAERTE after rules G1, G2 and G4 of the knowledge base.
The values are in the rule set with their evidence level; a company standard can replace them.
Pull-Request #61
0.12.1
Version 0.12.1 – design knowledge: press-in nuts and bolted joints
The knowledge base gains 13 rules on fasteners in sheet metal – each with source and evidence level; numbers that could not be confirmed at the source were left out.
Details
Press-in, weld and blind rivet nuts, flow drill screws, edge distances of bolt holes, settling and paint in the joint.
The number of rules on the home page is now counted from the knowledge base.
Pull-Request #59
0.12.0
Version 0.12.0 – how reliable is a design rule?
Every design rule now states what it rests on: public source, own derivation, customer requirement, confirmed in practice or checked against the standard. The rule check for sheet metal parts reports it with every result.
Details
Knowledge base with an evidence column for all 38 rules; the rule set carries the same levels, a test keeps both equal.
The rule check names the evidence of its limit for every check – and “unknown” when a company file does not say.
Pull-Request #57
0.11.1
Version 0.11.1 – questions: the whole proposal is confirmed
The questions page now says consistently that all points V1 to V11 are confirmed; the only open point is on which side the cup and the beads lie.
Details
Questions: heading “The confirmed proposal (V1–V11)” instead of single labels on V1–V4.
Pull-Request #55
0.11.0
Version 0.11.0 – first real case: a sheet metal bracket from a freehand sketch
The design proposal for the test job is confirmed by its author. On top come a rule check for sheet metal parts as a new tool and the bracket as an acceptance step for the first test in CATIA.
Details
First real case on the home page, with a picture of the concept model.
New tool catia_check_sheet_metal_rules: checks bend radii, embossing and bead depths, distances to the edge and neighbours, e-coat drainage and crash beads of a sheet metal proposal, without CATIA.
Acceptance test C18 builds the bracket's skeleton in CATIA and measures it; the job text for it is ready.
Pull-Request #53
0.10.2
Version 0.10.2 – test job dimensioned in the author’s axis system
With the author’s axis system the design proposal for the sheet metal bracket is now dimensioned in 3D; two questions are left.
Details
Questions stand 4: axis system, collar hole Ø30 inside and bend radii 3 × t taken over; the proposal is re-dimensioned.
Corrected: the sketch is an oblique view – both collar holes are at the same height.
Pull-Request #51
0.10.1
Version 0.10.1 – measuring script for local language models
Whether a language model in the own network operates CadPilot reliably enough can now be measured: four tasks with fixed target values, without CATIA, with a report per model.
Details
Script for Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM and llama.cpp: measures tool choice, rejected calls, result, answer, rounds and time.
Warns when the model sees only a truncated tool list and refuses endpoints outside the own network. Not yet measured with a real model.
Pull-Request #49
0.10.0
Version 0.10.0 – session report: what went to the AI
A session report that can be switched on records what CadPilot returned to the AI client – as an overview without model data for IT and the customer and as a complete log file whose hash chain makes later changes visible.
Details
Switch CATIA_MCP_SESSION_REPORT: report in the working folder or in a folder of its own; recorded after the data filter, i.e. exactly what left.
The chain is checked with one command; write errors are reported in the answer and the overview is marked incomplete.
Not included is what you type into the chat yourself. Not yet tried in CATIA.
Pull-Request #47
0.9.1
Version 0.9.1 – confidentiality in the main menu
What happens to the customer’s data is now one click away from every page.
Version 0.9.0 – part numbers and names reach the AI only as pseudonyms
A data filter that can be switched on replaces part numbers and person names in all results with pseudonyms such as SNR#1 and translates them back when the AI uses them again. The AI can work with the parts without knowing the real numbers.
Details
Switch CATIA_MCP_DATA_FILTER: built-in filter or a filter file with the customer’s numbering scheme, properties such as “Konstrukteur” (designer) and a list of names.
Replaced everywhere, also in instance and document names, paths and error messages; with the filter on, pictures never leave.
Limits documented openly: what has been learned or matches the numbering scheme is masked; descriptions and dimensions stay readable. Not yet tried in CATIA.
Pull-Request #43
0.8.6
Version 0.8.6 – confidentiality and AI: what to settle with the customer
No new tools: a new page explains when an AI assistant may work on a customer’s design data – with the rules that apply and a checklist for the talk with the customer.
Details
New page confidentiality and AI: confidentiality, TISAX, GDPR and third countries, CLOUD Act, export control, AI Act and copyright; Volkswagen’s public rules for third parties with clause numbers.
Operating modes from a local model to a US service, the case of a predecessor model, outsourcing to best-cost countries and 13 questions for the customer.
Pull-Request #41
0.8.5
Version 0.8.5 – design knowledge for car body sheet metal parts
No new tools: CadPilot now comes with design rules for car body sheet metal parts and an assistant that applies them – with its own proposals instead of many questions.
Details
Knowledge base with 38 rules and sources: vehicle coordinates, load paths, crash beads, forming and flanged holes, spot welding and mixed materials, e-coat.
New prompt template “car body sheet metal assistant”: guides through installed position, loads, crash, manufacturing, joining and e-coat and calls the matching tools.
Test job stand 3: questions reduced from 15 to 3, with a concrete design proposal for the sketch instead.
Pull-Request #39
0.8.4
Version 0.8.4 – the assistant can see what CATIA shows
A screenshot can now go back to the assistant as a picture, not only as a file path. Because a picture of the geometry then goes to the AI service, this is off by default and switched on deliberately.
Details
With CATIA_MCP_SCREENSHOT_IMAGE=1 the JPEG comes back as a picture; BMP, TIFF and very large images are not attached, with a note.
The guide for the IT approval names the switch; without it only the file path is returned, as before.
Pull-Request #37
0.8.3
Version 0.8.3 – for your installed CATIA V5 environment, with the AI assistant of your choice
No new tools: CadPilot has a clearer direction – AI automation without CAD migration, not tied to any AI vendor. New are the way to a pilot project and corrections of statements on this site that were no longer true.
Details
Vendor-neutral: besides GitHub Copilot any MCP-capable client works; the guide for the IT approval describes operation without a US cloud.
New: “Request a pilot” and the section “Who it is for / design partners wanted” on the home page.
Corrected: the statement on Windows tests of the set-up (no longer true since 0.8.0), the number of prompt templates, the note on German-only pages and the open points in the status.
A fixed order for publishing new versions.
Pull-Request #35
0.8.2
Version 0.8.2 – full branch coverage and questions on the test job
No new tools: every branch in the code is now covered by a test, the figures on this page are measured instead of typed in, and the open questions on the test job are explained on a page of their own.
Details
100 % branch coverage in the server code and the helper scripts, with behaviour tests and mutation checks.
Test count and branch coverage on the project page come from the local check's measurement – it showed outdated values before.
No new tools: the acceptance test now also checks every tool since 0.5.0 and settles their open assumptions, a Windows check replaces the automated tests, and a protocol template records everything.
Details
Acceptance test with six new checks: hole pattern with a real pocket, clearance, plane at 15° (degrees or radians?), fillet, spot welds, sheet metal interface.
Windows check scripts\check_windows.cmd and a protocol template; live-test guide with a checklist up to item 17.
Automated checks on GitHub switched off, a local check before every change instead.
Pull-Request #27
0.8.0
Version 0.8.0 – tools for sheet metal parts: spot welds, skeleton, load cases
For a sheet metal bracket as a test job: plan and create spot welds, tilted planes, fillets between surfaces and load cases per attachment. The engineer still builds the finished sheet metal part – CadPilot supplies the exact skeleton for it.
Details
Plan and create spot welds: pitch, edge distance, flange width and shunting checked.
Planes tilted about an axis, fillets between two named surfaces and a check whether CATIA's sheet metal interface is reachable.
Load cases as equivalent loads per attachment and a new Copilot prompt “Blech-Skelett”.
Feasibility analysis of the test job with open questions.
Pull-Request #23
0.7.0
Version 0.7.0 – compare hole pattern variants
Several hole patterns side by side: which satisfy all rules, how much reserve remains above the minimum web and edge distance, which variant is best where. Deliberately without a winner – the choice stays with the engineer.
Details
Variant comparison without CATIA: 2 to 20 hole patterns against one shared rule set, with reserves, best values and the variants no other beats on both reserves.
New Copilot prompt “Bohrbild-Varianten”: compare, show the table, ask – only then create.
Pull-Request #17
0.6.0
Version 0.6.0 – plan and create hole patterns, check clearance
The first engineering tools: a hole pattern is first calculated and checked against rules, then created on a working copy and measured. Plus a clearance check with a clear traffic light. Only the live test will confirm the measurements in CATIA.
Details
Plan a hole pattern without CATIA: bolt circle or grid, clearance hole to ISO 273, smallest web and edge distance against a versioned rule set.
Check clearance: distance per element pair against the required value – ok, tight, violated or undetermined; distance 0 means contact or interference.
Create a hole pattern: only on a working copy in safe mode, violated rules are refused, the volume change is measured and can be undone.
Engineering draft with measurement definitions and reference cases, approved by the developer.
Pull-Request #15
0.5.0
Version 0.5.0 – structured results are the default
Every tool now reports, without any extra setting, whether it worked, with a unique error code and a safe recommended action. If you use the setup script, nothing changes for you.
Details
The structured result format (v2) with effect check is the default; the earlier text format stays available with CATIA_MCP_RESULT_FORMAT=v1.
A call blocked by safe mode never reaches CATIA, in the structured format too.
Pull-Request #11
0.4.0
Version 0.4.0 – wrong parameters are rejected, help for operation
A misspelt parameter used to lead silently to a wrong result. Now CadPilot rejects it and names the correct ones. Plus a page on updating, help and uninstalling.
Details
Unknown parameters are rejected: if Copilot wrote center_x instead of cx, a circle used to end up at the origin without any message.
Handbook “Operation and help”: updating to a new version, going back to the previous one, help after problems in CATIA, reporting problems, uninstalling. Every version is available as a ZIP file.
Privacy: the environment report for queries no longer contains the name of the open document.
Weekly check of the base project for changes; compatibility list; tests now also on Python 3.11.
Internal restructuring: documents, sketch and pad go through defined interfaces – provably with the same CATIA calls as before.
Pull-Request #8
0.3.0
Version 0.3.0 – version numbers from now on
First numbered version: it includes everything from the build-up phase a to m. From now on, changes arrive through pull requests that are merged only after the checks have passed.
Details
Every state has a version number; the server reports it to Copilot when connecting.
Every version gets a tag in the repository and an entry in the changelog.
Every change goes through the Windows checks as a pull request (tests, types, coverage, vulnerabilities) before it reaches the main line.
Pull-Request #3
m
Seven new tools, stricter code checks
Update diagnosis, material, writing properties, finding faces, creating parameters and formulas – plus all code under strict checks.
Details
New: catia_check_update shows which feature fails to update – with CATIA’s error text.
New: apply and read a material from the catalogue, with density for the mass.
New: write part number, revision, nomenclature and user properties.
New: list faces with area, centre and normal, to find e.g. the top face reliably.
New: create parameters and formulas. CATIA expects metres and radians here – the tool converts millimetres and degrees.
The new tools are checked against the Automation reference but have not yet run in CATIA; the handbook therefore lists them as “limited”.
The adopted code now also runs under strict type and style checks. Found and fixed on the way: a shell that silently stayed closed for an unknown face; a part reported as “unknown”; missing volume without a warning.
New behaviour tests (coverage now 94 %) found seven more defects, all fixed: moving rotated the wrong way; views had Y instead of Z up; export and screenshot reported success for an unchanged old file; features rejected by CATIA stayed in the tree; and more.
l
Moved to MCP SDK 2.x
The server now uses the current major version 2.2 of the MCP SDK. Nothing changes for users: same tools, same results.
Details
The 1.x line only receives maintenance; new features and fixes land in 2.x first.
The server now validates tool input itself, with the same messages as before.
Tested with the protocol version VS Code uses today and with the new one; confirmation in real Copilot is part of the pending live test.
k
Own address and English handbook
The project website is available at www.cadpilot.org; the handbook and the live-test guide are now also available in English.
Details
Former addresses permanently redirect to www.cadpilot.org; old links keep working.
English handbook at /en/handbook/, language switch with flags on every page.
j
New name: CadPilot
The project is now called CadPilot – AI and MCP integration for CATIA V5. The project website is public and visible to search engines.
Details
Project website, handbook and live-test guide carry the new name.
Tool names and set-up are unchanged; existing Copilot configurations keep working.
i
Independent code review: 54 findings addressed
Three reviews by a second, independent AI model (security, CATIA correctness, tests). Every finding was checked against the code or the CATIA Automation reference before it was fixed, and received a test that catches the old defect.
Details
Unit error: CATIA returns volume in m³ and area in m². They were read as mm³ and mm², so masses would have been a factor of 10⁹ too small.
Calls that do not exist in CATIA: bounding box and inertia matrix on the measurable, CreateArc for arcs. Arcs now use CreateCircle; the bounding box honestly reports “not supported”.
Silently wrong behaviour fixed: threaded holes came out smooth, “part in assembly” created an empty sub-assembly, the chamfer used the wrong signature.
Safety: undo identifies documents unambiguously, drive-less paths can no longer bypass the protection of originals, a hanging CATIA call no longer prevents shutdown.
The acceptance test never starts CATIA itself and reports test documents it could not close.
Only what cannot be checked without CATIA remains open; it is part of the acceptance test for the first live run.
h
Dependencies reviewed and updated
All libraries and tools checked against their current versions.
Details
The MCP SDK needs at least version 1.19 for structured results. Any version from 1.0 was allowed; the lower bound is fixed and a dedicated CI run tests exactly 1.19.
GitHub Actions on version 7, pinned by commit hash; ruff 0.16.9; pywin32 312.
The Windows CI now tests Python 3.10 to 3.14.
Dependabot reports new versions weekly; pip-audit checks the runtime and test environments and finds no known vulnerabilities.
g
First live test prepared
Everything needed to make the first day with a CATIA licence count.
Details
Guide with a checklist and expected values for the first test.
Automated acceptance test: checks volume, centre of gravity, constraints, symmetric pad, undo, working copies and export, and writes a report.
Environment report including the authorised CATIA licences.
Recording of all CATIA calls so that real answers later serve as offline tests.
f
Robust execution and eight new tools
The 78 tools become 86.
Details
All CATIA calls run on a dedicated thread with a time limit. If CATIA shows a dialog, the server no longer hangs and further commands are held back.
Journal and undo: parameter changes and new features of a session can be listed and undone.
New: product properties, formulas, parameter details, bill of materials, and summary and export for whole folders.
A simulated COM server tests the real transport path in the Windows CI without CATIA.
e
Structured results and effect check
The assistant recognises errors reliably, and every material change is measured.
Details
Uniform results with an error code and a safe next step.
Volume before and after every material feature: a pocket into thin air is reported as an error.
Abstraction layer between the tools and the CATIA interface.
Rules and prompt templates for GitHub Copilot, type checking and a packaging check of the licence notices.
d
Set-up without administrator rights
For engineering workstations where users may not install software.
Details
Double-clicking setup_user.cmd sets everything up in the user profile.
Connection to GitHub Copilot in VS Code and Visual Studio.
The CI runs the full set-up on Windows for every change.
c
Defects of the base project fixed, handbook published
Analysing the source code revealed defects that would have produced wrong results in CATIA.
Details
Sketch constraints used wrong CATIA constants: “radius” created a distance constraint.
