CadPilotAI automation for CATIA V5

Solutions

Engineering rule packs

Bring company engineering knowledge in, in a structured way – without changing product code for every rule. A rule pack is a file with your limits and rules that stays on your machine.

What works today

The basis is a knowledge base of 132 design rules for body sheet metal parts, each with a source or marked as own derivation. Rule packs are JSON or TOML files, strictly validated, with no executable code.

Own limits

Minimum radii, distances, hole sizes, edge distances, flange widths – with an evidence level (public source, own derivation, customer requirement, confirmed in practice, checked against the standard).

Switch rules

Switch rules off or change their severity, for example turn a warning into a violation.

Own rules

New rules on the existing measures, such as “edge distance ≥ 3 × t” – without programming.

Scope

A rule pack applies to specific materials or sheet thicknesses.

Quality profiles

Mandatory attributes, material, naming patterns and update status as a check profile for whole folders.

Explainable

Every rule can be queried: limit, source, origin in the rule pack.

For engineering service providers

One rule pack per customer: customer standards and your own experience values stay separate and on your machine. The same tool can serve several customers without mixing rules.

Limits and roadmap

Limits today

  • Own rules build on the existing measures; arbitrary rules are not possible.
  • The sheet metal rule check works on the dimensions it is given, not directly on the CATIA model.
  • Values from company standards belong in your rule pack; CadPilot ships no third-party standards.

Planned

  • planned Check rules on the real model (radii, distances, sheet thickness, mandatory attributes).
  • planned Drawing profile according to the company standard from the rule pack.
